We do this because we care about showing others what outdoor sports and activities can do for your life.

We believe by using individualized sports as a tool we can make a positive change for children and adults. Giving people access to individualized sports is a starting point to a healthier future. Routine exposure to physical activity and nature has been proven to increase performance at home as well as in the classroom, especially in those with learning disabilities.

There is nothing we want more than to share our passion for the outdoors with our friends and members of our community.

My road here started in outdoor ed class at Webster Groves High. Since then I've received a bachelors degree in Outdoor Leadership, lived on four continents, raced enduros all over the world, have over 100 hours of wilderness medical training, and spent the last 12 years working in the outdoor industry. I've done these things because I love being outside, I work with STL MTB because few things make me happier than sharing my experience and passion for the natural world.

Jackson provides opportunities through outdoor activities to discover inner strengths and to challenge weaknesses. He has served as an Instructor for The Outward Bound School for 6 years and has over a decade of experience leading kids in outdoor settings all over the country. When he’s not working with STL MTB, Jackson likes to drink coffee, play Settlers of Catan and quench his thirst for freedom by exploring the rivers of Missouri.

Ben has never tried a S'more and has had a love for biking since grade school. He has been riding regularly at Castlewood State Park for over 20 years. Ben is a registered nurse with a background in Emergency Room Patient Care, Operating Room Nursing, and Intensive Care Unit Nursing. He has a Bachelor's in the Science of Nursing and has a deep interest in Public Health and Experiential education.

We may be biased, but we think our team is the best!

&

We all love riding and sharing our passion for the sport with others!

More about our team:

These individuals have passed a first aid and CPR certification and a background check. They are leaders experienced in working with adults &  children, riding mountain bikes and team-building activities. For those ready to join the team, we offer a Junior Instructor program for individuals ages 14 - 18 to help the Team Leaders with activities, supervision, and other tasks. These Junior Counselors are not figured into the staff ratio. All staff members are evaluated continuously throughout the summer. Your comments are encouraged and should be directed to Michael Flieg at Ride@stlmtb.com or sent via our contact page

What can I say.......I have been fully dedicated to the sport of cycling and outdoor recreation for as long as I can remember. Pushing the broom at my local bike shop, racing my butt off for 8 years, guiding bike trips all over the country, and starting STL MTB Camps! I'm grateful for the opportunity to share my passion for the outdoors & mountain biking with others and excited to aid in the future growth of the St. Louis outdoor community!

Our Team

These local companies help support our efforts in getting more kids on bikes and out on the trails!

Thanks Friends!
